This collection of songs was written for my friend Ba (Ruth Flory) who lived to be 103 years old. Even though I was a rambunctious youngster, hopped up on sugar and covered with grass stains, Ba's door was always open to me. I feel honored to have known her and to have been able share so many pleasant times with her.

NOTE: Recent Hi-Fi listeners will notice the absence of baritone guitar on TO FALL UPON DEAF EARS. This album was written and recorded in 2009 when I was still playing acoustic guitar regularly. I liked the challenge of writing an album of instrumental music with such a limited resource as a lone acoustic guitar. The acoustic also lent itself to some nice tones and compositional textures which further helped illustrate memories of my dear friend.
